Sisodia has no plan to cut short his trip

You and I, the common man of this country, must reflect on the crossfire Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) finds itself on the health issues of the Capital and wonder if choosing this government has been a Himalayan blunder on the part of voters. Can’t these AAP leaders see the absurdity of their position?

Even if we admit that the health issues is not entirely their responsibility and BJP has a few questions to answer of their own, let’s reflect on AAP’s response to prevalent “chikunguniya” and “dengue” in Delhi.

Delhi’s Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung has asked Delhi’s deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to return from his trip in Finland and attend to Delhi’s health crisis. Sisodia has replied in tweet that he is in Finland on an official “educational” tour. Apparently, he has no plans to cut short his trip.

If Mr Sisodia could tell we idiots why he thinks an educational tour is more important than attending the people dying in Delhi. I mean what kind of priority is this? Does he seriously believe that the Delhi taxpayers, who are funding his trip, would be pleased with such disgusting justification?

On a related note, this very AAP had lambasted MLAs from Karnataka for touring Europe when the devastating floods had hit the state in 2014. AAPs stance then was that these irresponsible politicians be barred and sacked.

(And a question to Rajdeep Sardesai who has come out in support of Sisodia and tweeted: “We must stop this journalism where every foreign tour of a public servant is seen as a junket. Show misuse of public money before outraging.” For his benefit NewsBred mentions a 2014 tweet of Rajdeep: “6 Goa MLAs and 3 ministers packed bags to Brazil for Rs 89 lakh junket. Hope they bring the World Cup.”

Who’s the real Rajdeep if the readers be told).

Now Ashutosh has tweeted, gushing on the wonderful movie that “Pink” is. He says he absolutely loved it. Has he any idea how a common voter would view this insensitive tweet? Or health minister Kapil Mishra who took exceptions to his personal number being flashed by Deepak Chaurasia in his TV show. Or Arvind Kejriwal who washed his hands off the responsibility by stating that he doesn’t have power to buy even a pen.

The spread of Chikunguniya can’t be disassociated with sewage water overflowing in the Capital due to monsoons. The roads are in pathetic conditions. Potholes are everywhere. It’s an ideal breeding ground for deadly mosquitoes and viruses. This is the biggest outbreak of the mosquito-borne viral disease in the Capital. Hospitals are overflowing with patients. People are dying.

And AAP, the elected government, is missing. Congress yesterday called for a “Bhagoda Divas” in the Capital. For once, you can’t help but agree with them.

Shame.
