MHA asks for report from Bengal govt on political violence post elections





MHA has asked West Bengal Government for a report on the post election violence targeting opposition political workers in the state.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the West Bengal government for a report on the post election violence targeting opposition political workers in the state. 

There are videos and reports which have flooded the social media, depicting horrible violence against BJP workers. There are incidents of loots in shops belonging to workers of BJP, as well visuals of BJP poll booths being burnt to ground after Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress won the state assembly elections by a two-third majority. 

BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra has released a video which shows how BJP’s office in Nandigram has been attacked.
