Local residents of the Dwarka area of Delhi along with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad alleged that a warehouse was turned into a church without the owner’s knowledge.
Local residents informed that the warehouse was rented by lying and illegal conversion was carried out in the name of the church.
According to a report, VHP spokesperson Vijay Shankar Tiwari pointed that the organization, Ankur Narula Ministries, which rented the warehouse allegedly did not inform the warehouse owner about their plans to convert it into a church. Around 15 days ago, the locals informed the owner that the warehouse had been converted into a church.
He took to his Twitter account and wrote that that the Christian organization was paying Rs. 3 lakh per month allegedly for forced conversions. When the locals came to know about it, the owner of the warehouse canceled the agreement. The locals drove away the ‘healers’.
A local resident was quoted saying that the locals were not in favour of the church being constructed in the area. He further told that the “worshippers of the Church created ruckus in the neighborhood”. Despite objections, the organization organized Sunday mass again on the premises, which resulted in the scuffle between the two parties.
As per a report, few members of the Christian organization have reportedly returned back to Punjab to their headquarter after the incident
Meanwhile, Police informed that cases have been registered against both sides, including under the DDMA Act, which prohibits large gatherings.
