Khalistani elements come to fore during Punjab polls, says Channi

Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi

Khalistani elements are always active in Punjab during elections—the words have come from no one else by Charanjit Singh Channi, chief minister of Punjab.

Stating that the person involved in the Ludhiana blast has been identified, Channi said there are indications some big fish are involved in drugs.

Channi, addressing a press conference said: “Every time during elections, such elements remain active. In the Ludhiana blast case, the person was identified. Indications towards big fishes of drugs. SFJ (Sikh for Justice) remain speaking several times but in Punjab no impact. We are maintaining law and order situation in Punjab.”

A prominent member of the SFJ, Jaswinder Singh Multani, was recently held in Germany for his alleged links with the explosion at the Ludhiana Court complex. As per police, the names of two suspects residing in Pakistan and Germany have emerged.

A bomb blast occurred at the Ludhian district court complex on December 23, killing one and injuring two other.

Channi also said his government solved the Kapurthala case within 48 hours. “In the Golden Temple case, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) is investigating the first. We will investigate later”, he said.

As per Gurmeet Ram. Rahim, “we are trying to take custodial interrogation…Sukhbir Badal’s role in the sacrilege is visible…,” Channi said.
