Active Covid-19 cases have fallen below 600 in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh resulting in the Yogi Adityanath led state government relaxing pandemic related restrictions, Times of India has reported.
“There will be relaxation in coronavirus curfew in all the districts of the state from Wednesday onwards, from 7am to 7pm, for five days as the active Covid cases have come below 600”, an official has been quoted as saying.
While daytime restrictions are being relaxed, the nighttime curfew from 7 PM to 7 AM will continue to be enforced.
As per official data, the state reported a paltry 797 new cases in the past 24 hours even as it conducted 2.85 lakh tests, which translates into a positivity rate of around 0.2 per cent. There are currently around 14,000 active Covid cases in the state with a recovery rate of 97.9 per cent.
