A Hyderabadi may construct a 108-feet Hanuman statue in Ayodhya

Sriniwas, a resident of Hyderabad, has approached the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to grant him permission for constructing a 108-feet statue of Lord Hanuman in Ayodhya. The trust has asked him to present a 3D design of the statue before conceding his request.

He has also sought permission from the trust to offer prasad to the visiting devotees every day. For this, he has asked the trust to allot him some space for cooking the prasad for offering to devotees. The trust may consider both the requests favourably.

According to Sriniwas, the statue of Lord Hanuman will be made in Mahabalipuram area of Tamil Nadu. The total cost of the project is likely to be around Rs 50 crore.

Incidentally, funds are being mobilised across the nation for the construction of a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya. Several organisations have already collected crores of rupees and their campaign is continuing.

Some senior RSS leaders, including Bhaiyya ji Joshi, Manmohan Vaidya, Ranjit Godbole and some others have been visiting different corners of the country to mobilise funds. This campaign has been going on in several cities and rural areas of the country.

According to the trust, the grand temple design will be in line with ancient and traditional construction techniques. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had performed the “Bhoomi Poojan” (ground breaking ceremony on August 5, 2020. On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court verdict had paved the way for starting the construction of the Ram temple.
