As per a Minister of Home Affairs release, the Indian governemtn would facilitate the return of stranded Indians in a phased manner.

The travel is being arranged by aircraft and naval ships.

Indian embassies and High Commissions are in the midst of completing a list of distressed Indian citizens. This facility is made available on payment basis. Non-scheduled commercial flights are being arranged.

Medical screening of passengers would be done before they board the flight. Only asymptomatic passengers would be allowed to travel though initially. During the journey, all these passengers would have to follow the protocols.

Once arrived, the passengers would’ve to register themselves on the Arogya Setu App.  They would be medically screened and then quarantined for 14 days, either in a hospital or in an institutional quarantine on payment basis by the concerned State government. A Covid 19 Test would happen after the quarantine period ends after 14 days.

The Ministeries of External Affairs and Civil Aviation would share details in due course. State governments have been advised to make arrangements as per guidelines.
