Delhi has extended the lockdown while Uttar Pradesh have extended the curfew, both by another week, in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In Delhi, this time even the metro services would be suspended. The lockdown would remain in force till May 17, 5 a.m.
The positivity rate in the Capital presently is 23 per cent, which is still very high even though the peak of 35 per cent was in mid-April.
This is the fourth week of lockdown in India’s Capital.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has extended the curfew till May 17.
“Partial `corona curfew’ imposed in Uttar Pradesh has been extended till May 17,” additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal said.
