Donald Trump soon to launch his own Social Media platform

Former US President Donald Trump may have been banned from Twitter and Facebook following the Capitol Hill Riots this January, but his senior advisor, Jason Miller, has shared that Trump is set to make a return to social media with his own platform.

Speaking on Fox’s Media Buzz on Sunday, Miller said “I do think we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here with his own platform, This is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media.”

Miller declined to give specifics about what such a social network would entail but told “Media Buzz” anchor Howard Kurtz that the former president had had “a lot of high-powered meetings” at Mar-a-Lago, his residence, since leaving Washington, with “numerous companies” interested in helping him launch the platform.

Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter and Facebook “due to the risk of further incitement of violence” after his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building during a deadly riot.

Twitter’s reasons for the ban included the “use of the words “American Patriots” to describe some of his supporters who committed violent acts at the US Capitol and  that “They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!” is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump did not plan to facilitate an “orderly transition” and instead he continued to support, empower, and shield those who believe he won the election.
