Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik’s home is being raided by a team of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as this is being written. As per sources, searches are being carried out in relation to a money laundering case linked to a security company.
The TOPS group promoters and related members including a few politicians are being searched presently. It’s said around 10 places in Mumbai and Thane are being subjected to this exercise.
Sarnaik is the MLA from the Ovala-Majiwada Vidhan Sabha constituency in Thane. He is also Shiv Sena’s Maharashtra spokesperson and communication leader for Mira-Bhayandar area.
Pratap Sarnik has been in news since he demanded in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly demanding legal action against Kangana Ranaut who he said had “maligned” the image of Mumbai and Maharashtra.
