Ghar Vapsi: 50 Muslims converting to Hinduism

History was created in Ayodhya on August 5, 2020, by laying the foundation stone of Ram Mandir. And on the very same day, 50 Muslim families changed their history by adopting the Hindu religion. These families live in Motisara village of Payala Kalla Panchayat Samiti, Barmer city in Rajasthan. According to the elders of the family, their ancestors belonged to the Hindu religion and based on their ancestors’ history, they have voluntarily adopted Hinduism. A kind of Ghar Vapsi.

A family of 250 members performed havan yagna, and wore janeu at the residence and embraced Hinduism. According to Subhanram, he and his family have adopted Hinduism because their ancestors were frightened of Mughals and were forcefully converted to Islam. Even after the conversion his family never left the Hindu traditions and customs. And based on Subhanram's sense of their ancestors, the whole family has decided to go back to its roots.

For the past several years, this whole family of Kanchan Dhadi caste has always followed Hindu customs, confirmed one Hajiram of the Motisara village. According to him, this family celebrates all the Hindu festivals every year.

Vinjaram, a member of the family, said that they have never followed any Muslim customs. And they couldn't have thought of a better day than the Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Mandir to organize the Havana yagna to return to Hinduism.
