Modi has Rs 31,450 of cash in bank: PMO makes public his assets

As per the latest asset declaration of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for public information, prime minister Narendra Modi has just 45 grams of gold and Rs 31,450 in his possession.

The net worth of PM Narendra Modi though has still increased if compared with last year's number.

The net worth of PM Modi is up by Rs. 36 lakh as of June 30, 2020, up to Rs 2.85 crore from Rs. 2.49 crore. This increment in his net worth is mainly due to Rs. 3.3 lakh bank deposits and an increase of Rs. 33 lakh in Modi's bank fixed deposits from 2019.

There are no loans in the name of the prime minister and also he doesn't own any vehicle.

The movable assets of PM Modi are:

Total cash: The total cash that PM Modi had in hand is Rs 31,450 as per the data till June 30, 2020.

Details of bank deposits: As of June 30, 2020, the bank balance of PM with SBI bank's Gandhinagar NSC branch was Rs 3,38,173. He had Rs 1,60,28,039 as MOD and FDR balance in the same bank. Bond investment details: PM Modi has Rs 20,000 worth L&T Infrastructure Bond (Tax Saving) (dated January 25, 2012).

NSS, LIC investment details: Modi had Rs 8,43,124 with National Savings Certificates (Post) as of June 30, 2020, and Rs 1,50,957 in Life Insurance Policies.

Valuable items and jewellery: As of June 30, 2020, the PM had approximately 45 grams of gold in the form of 4 rings worth Rs. 1,51,875.

Modi has a total of Rs 1,75,63,618 in the form of moveable assets.

Immovable assets of PM Modi: Residential buildings: PM Modi has a plot of 3,531.45 sq. ft, Plot No. 401/A in Sector-1, Gandhinagar, Gujarat which has 3 other owners as well, and each of them has a share of 25%. On October 25, 2002, the property was purchased for Rs 1,30,488. The total amount that has been invested in the land till now is Rs. 2,47,208. At present, the value of that plot is Rs 1,10,00,000 approximately.
