Mumbai’s City Central Mall in Nagpada was caught on fire on Thursday night and was not under control till Friday morning. The fire has spread to the second and third floors of the mall.  The fire has been declared a level-5 fire, as it continues to rage for more than 12 hours and fire engines are called from all agencies in the city. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Some 3500 people from the 55-storey Orchid Enclave building, which is right behind the mall were evacuated to a nearby open ground with the help of police for their safety. While there is no major loss, two firefighters got injured while trying to control the fire at City Centre Mall.
