In a major development, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval yesterday said that India will not only fight on its own territory but also on the foreign soil which becomes the source of a security threat.
It was emphasised by NSA Doval that India never took the first step in attacking anyone, but the new strategy suggests we must act proactively to cut off the security threats in the budding stage. "India will take the battle to where the threat originates," pressed NSA Doval while summarising his "New India" doctrine.
This statement of NSA Doval holds great significance because it comes at a time when the situation is very intense on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) where the forces of India are deployed in heavy capacity including the Indian Air Force, Indian Army, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) forces to stop any wrongdoing by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).
It must be noted that many are considering the statement of NSA Doval as the intent of the government to put forward the doctrine of cutting off the security threats from the bud because he announced it the very same day when Mohan Bhagwat, sarsanghchalak of RSS talked about encroachments of China. NSA Doval made this strong pitch in Rishikesh, the holy city while he was addressing the Ashram of Parmarth Niketan.
