Rajasthan tops in rapes but Alwar tops the State in a disturbing trend

Crimes against women have been steadily rising in the Rajasthan as rapes are becoming more commonplace. Alwar emerges as a hotspot for the crime after two more rape cases come to light from the same region.

According to OpIndia’s report, a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old girl was kidnapped and gang-raped. According to police, the girl was abducted on July 4 and was raped by seven men at three different locations. She was then left on the roadside by the culprits. According to the victim’s brother, three accused, Tahir Ali, Saddam, and Sajjid, were drinking nearby. They abducted the victim and took her to Tahir’s house, where they raped her.

Another minor girl aged 16 was also abducted and raped in the Ramgarh area of Alwar. A case was registered July 8 after the victim was kidnapped and raped by several Kishangarh bas.

Earlier, a 12-year-old girl was brutally gang-raped by three youths on June 29 at a village in the Ramgarh area of Alwar.

Not only minor girls, but a 20-year-old girl was also allegedly gang-raped multiple times over the last two years in the Alwar district of Rajasthan.

The first incident took place in April 2019. Although she approached the Malakhera police station in Alwar in May 2019 to register a case against the perpetrators, the police failed to file an FIR or take any action. They blackmailed her by threatening to release a video of the incident on social media.

The data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for 2019 also puts Rajasthan at the top when it comes to rape or attempt to rape cases.
