Ram Temple to cost Rs 1,100 crores; 11 crores to be asked to donate





Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Nyas treasurer, Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, on Monday said the construction of the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya, including the main structure, is estimated to cost around Rs 1,100 crore.

 While sharing the details, Girji Maharaj has mentioned that experts from IITs at Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Guwahati, Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, and special engineers from L&T and Tata groups are drawing up a plan for a strong foundation of the complex. He also added that the full construction of the temple will approximately take three-and-a-half-years to get completed.

The trust has also announced that so far they have received more than Rs 100 crore online donations and they have also launched a mass fund contribution campaign for the construction of Ram Temple. 

Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj was in Nagpur as part of the Samarpan Nidhi campaign to collect funds for Ram temple construction. He said, “The Nyas will go on a nationwide fund collection drive, giving coupons of Rs 10 each to Rambhakts. Between January 15 and February 28, we have plans to contact 11 crore people.”
