The Narendra Modi government is all set to carry out the first reshuffle of its Union Cabinet likely this month, two years after the Bharatiya Janata party’s second run-in to power.

The 2.0 Modi cabinet may induce several young faces in the Cabinet as there is a vacancy after the death of Lok Janshakti Party founder Ram Vilas Paswan and BJP’s Suresh Angadi.

Two ministerial posts are also vacated after representatives of Shiromani Akali Dal and Shiv Sena chose to exist the National Democratic Alliance.

According to a report, Jyotiraditya Scindia, who gave Madhya Pradesh back to BJP in March 2020 when he left Congress with his band of MLAs, is also likely set to get a heavyweight ministry.

Former Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal is also rated considered highly in the party and he has recently met seniors BJP leaders, raising the speculation of his inclusion in the cabinet.

Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi and Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, as per sources, can also be introduced in the cabinet.

With the upcoming state election in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa, the shuffle can see new faces from these states

The Prime Minister has met several Union Ministers in person in the last few days besides back-to-back meetings by BJP and RSS top leaders in Delhi and elsewhere this month.
