Shiv Sena caled late actor Sushant Singh Rajput a "characterless person" who could not handle his failures after the forensic reports of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) ruled out the possibility of a murder angle to the actor's death.

Saamana, the mouthpiece of Shiv Sena, in its editorial questioned: "He was incapable of controlling his off-track vehicle. As a result of this, he started consuming drugs. And one day ended his life by hanging... Mumbai Police was meticulously following the case. They are the best police team in the world. But Sushant Singh Rajput's family was used for selfish politics. The centre roped-in CBI with bullet-train speed."

On Monday, Dr Sudhir Gupta, HOD of forensic at AIIMS had made it clear that Sushant Singh Rajput had hanged himself to the death, he was not murdered. But the investigation of CBI in the case is still in progress and sources from the CBI said that there is no doubt in the death's cause but they are probing for the reason that made Rajput take his life.

The editorial also stated that CBI had discovered the drug connection of Sushant Singh Rajput within 24-hours of its probe. It further said, "if there was a provision to conduct trial after death, Sushant Singh Rajput would have been tried for consuming drugs."

Saamana's editorial also bashed Kangana Ranaut for comparing Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and to hog the limelight on the actor's death and questioned her silence on the Hathras case and the forensic report of AIIMS.

Sanjay Raut, MP of Shiv Sena said, "it is as per the reports of Dr Sudhir Gupta, who is the head of AIIMS Forensic Medical Board in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He doesn't have any political connection or any links with Shiv Sena."
