Tamil Nadu chief minister supports farmers’ bills; criticizes Stalin’s stance





Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami has come out in support of Farmers’ bills. As per him, the agrarian bills passed by the Parliament would not negatively impact the farmers.

He criticised the DMK president MK Stalin for his criticism, stating that the latter was speaking about the farm legislation without adequate knowledge.

However, the AIADMK Rajya Sabha member SR Balasubramoniyan differed from his party’s stand and opposed the bills in the Upper House.

Palaniswami said that Balasubramoniyan had been asked to explain his stance.
