The prized fighters to put up a show on Day of Mourning in the US

As 9/11 beckons, the September 11 is still breaking out in the United States, the two prized fighters of the forthcoming US presidential elections have their own plans to comfort a nation in mourning.

Joe Biden will travel to New York and Pennsylvania on Friday to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the terrorist attack which changed the world. White House has made elaborate arrangements of its own to mark the Patriot Day—September 11—by calling by name those who perished in the terrorist attacks in New York, Arlington and Shanksville. White House states on its website: “In cities and towns, across our great country, we stand in solidarity to remember the victims and mourn their stolen hopes and dreams.”

By a joint resolution, approved December 18, 2001, the Congress designated September 11 of each year as Patriot Day.

President Donald Trump announced on its eve: “I call upon all departments, agencies and intrumentalities of the United States to display the flag of the United States at half-staff on Patriot Day…I invite the Governors of the United States and its territories and interested organizations and individuals to join in this observance. I call upon the people of the United States to participate in community service…and observe a moment of silence…”

Biden and his wife Jill will attend the national September 11 Memorial and Museum’s commemoration ceremony before travelling to Shanksville. It is to pay respect to the victims of Fight 93, the plane that was hijacked and crashed into a field after passengers put up a resistance. Trump and his wife, Melania, are expected to be the first at the venue in the morning.

Meanwhile Biden’s running mate, senator Kamala Harris and her husband Doughlas Emhoff will attend a remembrance ceremony in Fairfax. It was only later known that Clinton had received a diagnosis of pneumonia two days earlier.
