BJP sweeping UP, MP, Gujarat, Karnataka bypolls: Bihar looks no different

Leads provided by the Election Commission show that the Bharatiya Janata Party is on way to sweep the by-polls in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka. The party is also doing strongly in Telengana and Manipur.

The EC data show BJP is leading in seven out of eight seats in Gujarat, 17 out of 27 seats in Madhya Pradesh, and five out of seven seats in Uttar Pradesh. It is also ahead in both the seats in Karantaka and the single seat in Telangana.

In Manipur the BJP is leading on two out of five seats and has won one seat.

In the Bihar assembly elections, the NDA appears to be pulling off a similar performance as it nears the majority mark. Though there is a caveat that only 5 out of the 25 rounds have been completed so far. It could all change by evening.
