BSP MP Dawood Ahmad’s Rs 100cr building razed down in Lucknow

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Sunday razed an under-construction building developed by former Bahujan Samaj Party MP Dawood Ahmad near the protected site of ‘Residency’.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), citing its proximity to the protected site of the residence in Lucknow raised an interjection.

This move comes after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had earlier warned over the illegal and unapproved construction across the state.

Construction in the building project in Lucknow’s River Bank area started in 2017 across a 3,600 square feet area. It was reportedly promoted with an investment of ₹ 100 crore.

The action against illegal construction and mafia is going on in full swing under CM Yogi government. Earlier in March also, the government demolished an illegal structure built by a man named Shahid, who is said to be close to Mukhtar Ansari, strongman of a MLA from Mau.
