Chetan Sharma heads selection committee of all bowlers





Former India pacer Chetan Sharma is now the chairman of the senior national selection committee, picked by the BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). 

Sharma would’ve be two others pacers with him for company: Abey Kuruvilla and Odisha’s Debasis Mohanty. 

Sharma piped Maninder Singh and Vijay Dahiya in the 89th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the board on Thursday. 

“It’s indeed a privilege for me to get an opportunity to serve Indian cricket once again. I am a man of few words and my action will speak louder than words,” said Sharma, who has a five-wicket haul at Lord’s in Tests and a hat-trick in World Cup. 

He represented India in 23 Tests and 65 one-day internationals. 

The selection panel also comprises of former India cricketers Sunil Joshi (South Zone) and Harvinder Singh (Central Zone).
