A simple check on the properties of the “Congress Toolkit”, in the eye of a storm since Tuesday, has revealed that its author is Saumya Varma who purportedly works in the research wing of the Congress, under the chairmanship of Rajeev Gowda.
Dr Sambit Patra, national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claimed so in a tweet this morning.
“Friends yesterday Congress wanted to know who’s the Author of the toolkit.
Pls check the properties of the Paper.
Author: Saumya Varma
Who’s Saumya Varma …
The Evidences speak for themselves:
Will Sonia Gandhi & Rahul Gandhi reply?’

Later Amit Malviya, head of the BJP’s IT cell, made two tweets, stressing the complicity of the Congress party in the “Congress Toolkit.”
In the first tweet, Malviya said that Saumya Varma has deleted her twitter and linkedin account as “Cogress rushes to erase digital footprint of their anti-India activities.”
In another tell all development, Saumya Varma, whose name figured as the author of the Congress toolkit has deleted her Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.
It is getting murkier as Congress rushes to erase digital footprint of their anti-India activities.#CongressToolKitExposed pic.twitter.com/oJ8hPXqyLo

In another tweet, Malviya said: “Congress denies the toolkit is theirs. They disowned digital footprint of Saumya Varma, whose name figures as author of the toolkit but Sanjukta Basu, part of Rahul Gandhi’s SM team, openly admits that the toolkit is theirs and hails the initiative.

It’s worth recall that a few from the BJP, including Patra himself, had yesterday revealed the “Congress toolkit,” ostensibly prepared by the Congress’ research wing, and outlining how to run down Modi by terming India’s second wave of Coronavirus as “Modi Strain”; how to vilify Kumbh Mela as “super-spreader” of the virus even as portraying Eid as one of amity and brotherhood etc.
Once the “Congress toolkit” raged on social media, the Congress, on its part threatened action and indeed filed an FIR in a police station in Delhi, naming BJP president JP Nadda, textile minister Smriti Irani and Patra himself as having “faked” the “Congress toolkit.”
The new disclosure by the BJP certainly adds a new twist to the unfolding drama and if proved true, puts Congress in a tight-spot, as a party running down the country in its most dire moments in decades, in its prejudice against Modi.
