Future Group moves HC on protesting farmers blocking its food store for last 4 months





Blocked of its food store near Shambhu Kalan village in Patiala district by the protestors for the last four months, the Future Supply Chains Solutions has now moved Punjab and Haryana High Court to remove this illegal blockade.

The group said in its plea that perishable goods worth Rs.4 crore are in the storage facility, and if the blockage is not removed, the products will expire soon.

They also added that their food grains worth Rs.66 lakh have already expired and  products worth Rs.1.5 crore would expire in the coming days.

The farmers have been camping outside the facility has caused difficulties to employees in running the business smoothly. Protestors have been gathered under the impression that the Reliance group is purchasing the supply chain of Future Group. However, the deal is pending as it is being challenged in the Apex Court by Amazon.
