Ganesha Chocolate: But then you don’t eat your Hindu gods!!!

Hindu gods being mocked is nothing new. It has happened to Maa Durga on Navratri; Shiva during the Kanwariyas Yatra; Hanuman on Hanuman Jayanti and now we have this peculiar instance on Ganesh Chaturthi. You have Lord Ganesh in chocolate which you first submerge in hot milk and then distribute it to less privileged. It’s such a chicanery that you bristle in anger: For Hindu Gods don’t meant to be eaten!!!

This time it is Harjinder Singh Kukreja, a chef from Ludhiana, who is pulling off this stunt. 

Recently, a Food Vlogger, Chahat Anand, published a video on her Instagram account where she was sitting in a restaurant and pouring hot milk on the Ganesha idol. The video got viral, and following the criticism, the video was deleted by the vlogger.
