Ghazwa-e-Hind will never happen, says Yogi Adityanath

“The dream of Ghazwa-e-Hind will not succeed till the Judgement Day,” said Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath while speaking to ANI today.

“For those dreaming of Ghazwa-e-Hind, this is New India under the leadership of PM Modi. In this New India is for development of all, but appeasement of none. It will run as per the Constitution, not Shariat. The dream of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ will not succeed till Judgement Day,” said Adityanath.

55 seats in nine districts vote in the second phase of UP polls today.

Yogi was asked on the Hijab Row controversy in Karnataka. He said just as he cannot force UP government employees to wear “Bhawa (saffron)”, a  dress code must be followed by institutions. One can’t “impose personal religious beliefs and choices on the country,” said the chief minister.

“The system should run as per the Constitution. We can’t impose our personal religious beliefs & choices on the country & its institutions. Can I ask all employees in UP to wear ‘bhagwa’? Dress code must be enforced in schools”.

Karnataka High Court is resuming hearing the plea of six female students who are insisting on Hijabs inside Kundapura College in Udupi.
