Himachal vaccinates first dose to 100% of its population

Himachal Pradesh became the first state to administer 100 percent completion of inoculation of the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the state. 

State health minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal informed that the state has completed the first dose of the vaccination to people of the 18 plus age group with 100 percent completion and “aims to complete the hundred per cent vaccination of both the doses by November 30, 2021.”

Saizal also mentioned how Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the efforts of the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur, for achieving the great fiat. He also applauded the state for Covid-19 management since the beginning. 

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the efforts of the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh for Covid-19 management and also in the field of vaccination, the state has been doing well right from the beginning,” he said.

The health minister also said the state would organize a special virtual event where PM Modi would interact with the beneficiaries and healthcare workers of the state government.

The minister further mentioned that while they have vaccinated 4700681 people of 18 plus age group according to the 2011 census but if some people would be left for the vaccination and reported, it will be investigated and everyone will be vaccinated soon

The hill state reported 123 news cases of the virus and one related death on Sunday. At present, there are 1,750 active cases.
