India’s daily Covid-19 positive cases come down to less than 3 lakhs

For the first time since April 20, the overall Coronavirus positive cases have come down from a high of four-lakh plus to less than three lakhs.

Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan addressed the 26th Group of Ministers meeting on Monday.

On Monday, the overall figure was 2.8 lakhs. The overall recoveries too outnumbered the daily spike for the sixth time in a week.

The total of those who have been discharged has crossed the two-crore mark.

Dr Harsh Vardhan said over 18.29 crore beneficiaries have been administered the Covid-19 vaccine.

The country is expected to procure 51 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine between January-July 2021.

“Over two billion doses of COVID-19 would be available for the country by the end of December this year. This would be sufficient to vaccinate every beneficiary above the age of 18 years,” the Health Minister stated.
