For the upcoming assembly elections, Trinamool Congress, on Saturday, has launched its poll slogan- ‘Bangla Nijer Meyekei Chaye’ which means- Bengal wants its own Daughter from their headquarters.
While portraying Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as the daughter of Bengal, this slogan has added more fuel to insider outsider politics in the state. The hoardings have been put up across the state.
Earlier also, the TMC has also launched a mobile application- ‘Didir Doot’ to connect people with Mamata Banerjee and the application, until now, has crossed the mark of 1lakh downloads.
While sharing the slogan, TMC secretary-general Partha Chatterjee said, “The people of the state want their own daughter who has been by their side for the last several years as their chief minister. We don’t want outsiders to call the shots in Bengal.”
The state is all set to go into elections in April-May 2021.
