Neo-Nazis in Ukrainian army? No less than NATO spills the bean!!!

Russia has all along been saying Ukraine is infested with Neo Nazis—the ultra-rights who hate jews, deny Holocaust and treat Adolf Hitler as ideal—and it’s one of the main reasons why it’s soldiers are in Ukraine for the last two weeks. Well, today the proof has come from—embarrassingly—none other than the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) itself, the military alliance which binds the West together and is led by the United States.

On the International Women’s Day, NATO tweeted a picture of a Ukrainian woman soldier with a Nazi symbol on the uniform, praising them as a symbol of strength for their nation. But once people began noticing the insignia the Ukrainian woman soldier was wearing, NATO lost no time in deleting the tweet.

The insignia the Ukrainian woman soldier was wearing is of “black sun”, one of the symbols linked with Nazism in Ukraine and one which is linked to Above Battalion, a right-wing militia formed with history of Neo Nazi ideology. They have called Russian president Vladimir Putin a jew in the past.

The NATO tweet, from its official account, read: “All women must live free and equal. This international women’s day, we think of the remarkable women of Ukraine. Their strength, bravery and resilience are symbolic of the spirit of their nation #IWD2022”.

The tweet had four pictures—one of them of a woman soldier wearing the black sun symbol on her uniform. The black sun symbol is composed of two concrete circles and rays that start from the smaller circle to the larger one.

Earlier, in a similar incident, a Ukrainian soldier was seen evacuating civilians near the capital Kyiv—he too was wearing the symbol associated with Nazism in Ukraine.

Azov Battalion enjoys the state patronage in Ukraine. It is a part of National Guard, and is reported to have carried out attacks in Donbass and Luhansk, the two regions whose inhabitants are ethnic Russians, and which have been declared independent by Putin recently.
