Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is keeping himself busy with controversy post his country’s first win over India in ICC T20 World Cup.

Making the victory rhetoric about religion, Ahmed put out a video statement on his verified Twitter account congratulating the entire Islamic world for the win (“saari aalam-e-Islam ko fateh mubarak”).

He was further heard saying, “I have directed the Traffic Department to remove barricades in Rawalpindi, Islamabad so that the people can celebrate. I want to again congratulate the Pakistan team and the people on this ‘final’. Yes, it was like our ‘final’ match in this edition of the T20 World Cup.”

Overjoyed with the victory, he said,  “The Pakistani team had the emotional support of all Muslims of the world, including Muslims of India.”

Ahmed who’s known for his anti-Hindu views was again trying to instigate Indian Muslims. He was even seen justifying “Jihad”. “Doing Jihad is mandatory in Islam. If a Muslim does not do Jihad, he is no longer a Muslim,” he said.
