Pope Francis ‘likes’ a sexy pic of a model on Instagram; Uproar among netizens

A Brazilian model Natalia Garibotto, 27, seems to have got a confirmed ticket to heaven as she exclaimed: “At least I am going to heaven.” Garibitto’s reaction came in response to a follower pointing out that her bikini clad picture had been liked by top pontiff, Pope Francis. Through his official Instagram account!

The model’s racy picture in suspenders and an apology of a skirt that barely reached anything beyond her waist. It is not clear whether the “like” was real, intentional or an unintended consequence of an inadvertent double click. It caused much mirth online though and the model had a laugh.

One of her followers, Bastool Sports, said when the pontiff’s apparent admiration to brought to the model’s notice, she said: “At least I’s going to heaven.” Many were outraged and they wanted the worldwide head of the Catholic Church to remove the like.

It seems that never before a ‘like’ or a ‘dislike’ of a Pope has become so famous than the instant case. “Now that is my kind of Pope,” one Twitter user said.

Some recent remarks of Pope Francis about sexuality seemed to have given an extra edge to what could have been a fairly ordinary and mundane like. About homosexual people, the Pope had said at one time that they were “children of God and have a right to be in a family”.

Addressing the crowds at Vatican once, the Pope had said “gossip threatens to divide the Catholic Church – and that the devil is the biggest gossiper.” Social Media user, Barstool Sports, who had pointed out the online indulged of the Pope, shared the Instagram screen recording with the caption “Pope Francis is horny as hell”.

One commentator took a sharp dig at the Pope, saying he has got 83 years to catch on. This was apparently in reference to Pope’s comment that masturbation is no longer a sin. The dynamics of the debate left many conservative people aghast.
