Rahul Gandhi’s aide, who plotted ‘bloodbath’ in Hathras, arrested by UP police

Uttar Pradesh Police has picked up Shyoraj Jivan Valmiki, assistant to former Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Hathras, and holder of key party positions, who in a sting operation had confessed that he had planned to cause a “bloodbath” in Hathras and the his party’s leaders would come as the violence is escalated.

Valmiki was picked up by the police yesterday and taken to an undisclosed location after having been summoned and grilled by the police in Aligarh.

As per sources, the police is also examining of cases could be framed against Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as well.

Republic Media Network confronted him outside the police station, to which he said, “I don’t want to say anything. I will answer to the police. I am in police custody. I am not in the mood to say anything. Thank you to the media for making me the most anti-national person in the country right now. Whatever is being said about me is wrong,” he said. In a face-saving attempt, he unleashed a verbal tirade against the Republic media network.

Two FIRs have been registered against him. A police officer has confirmed that an office-bearer of a social organization had registered a complaint against the Congress leader.

In the sting operation, Valmiki not only confessed of planning a “bloodbath” in Hathras; “tutoring” the family of victim; but also that Rahul Gandhi “would arrive” if bullets are fired and people are killed.

“Of course, they (national leaders) will come. PL Punia can come. Mukul Wasnik can come. We can call anybody from Congress. From the Samajwadi Party, we can get Akhilesh Yadav. Rahul will come when bullets are fired. Two people should die from each side. A leader should die or some common man should die,” he had elaborated.
