Rohit, Rishabh, Gill could be in trouble for breaching bio-bubble

Have Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill etc have breached the bio-secure bubble protocols in Australia? If true, they could be in trouble.

As per TimesNow, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Australia are investigating of the incident involving a fan. The fan, Navaldeep Singh, paid the $118 dollar bill at the restaurant after spotting some of the top Indian players eating next to him at Secret Kitchen Chinese restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre.

The fan has claimed he not only interacted with the players, clicked photos but also hugged wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant.

As per Cricket Australia’s bio-security protocol, players are allowed to eat out at restaurants but have to be seated outdoors. As per the video posted by the fan, the players seemed to be sitting indoors that too without masks on their faces.

So far, it hasn’t been proved that the Indian players did breach the social distancing guidelines as no pictures of them being in close contact with the fan have come out.

It also has to be noted that Cricket Australia had levied a hefty fine to Brisbane Heat after their players Chris Lynn and Dan Lawrence were found to have taken a selfie with a fan. The two players as well as the franchise were penalised for the incident.

Cricket Australia has had a long and arduous battle with the government to keep the third Test in Sydney intact after multiple Covid-19 cases were reported in the city. If the Covid-19 guidelines were actually flouted by the Indian players, the repercussions could be big.
