As several states in India have run out of vaccines against Covid-19, the Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) has decided to begin vaccine production outside India to meet supply commitments.

Its CEO Adar Poonawalla mentioned that their company is going to make an official announcement regarding this in the next few days.
