Star cricketer Harbhajan is AAP’s man for Rajya Sabha from Punjab

One of India’s most-loved cricketer, Harbhajan Singh could soon turn out in the Rajya Sabha as member of parliament, representing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which made an astounding sweep of recent Punjab assembly polls. 

The party has nominated Raghav Chaddha (Delhi MLA, national spokesman), Professor Sandeep Pathak, Ashok Mittal, founder Lovely Professional University and businessman Sanjeev Arora, besides Harbhajan Singh for five Rajya Sabha seats from the State. 

In all AAP won 92 out of 117 seats in Punjab. 

Sharing the video of Singh filing nomination, AAP wrote, “Cricketer Harbhajan Singh files his nomination as AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab. After making India proud as a bowling legend, Mr Turbanator is now going to raise his voice for the people of Punjab in Parliament.”

While Raghav Chaddha is often seen on TV debates, Sandeep Pathak is an assistant professor at IIT Delhi and a strategist for the party. Ashok Mittal is the founder of the Lovely Professional University. Sanjeev Arora is a businessman from Ludhiana.
