This day, Rishi Kapoor died two years ago: Daughter pens

Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, due to a prolonged illness. 

Today, on his second death anniversary, his daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has remembered her late father with a throwback pic. 

Riddhima has shared a childhood photo, in which, Rishi Kapoor is seen carrying her in his arms. S

he had captioned the post as “Papa,” followed by a black heart emoji. 

Riddhima Kapoor was born to Neetu and Rishi Kapoor in September 1980. 

On April 14, Rishi Kapoor’s son and actor Ranbir Kapoor got married to Alia Bhatt. After the wedding, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had shared a family photo and expressed that she missed her father. 

Sharing a photo with Alia, Soni Razdan, Neetu Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Bharat Sahni, Riddhima Kapoor had written, “Family. Missed my dad so much.”

When Rishi Kapoor died, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had shared a photo with her father and had written an emotional note. The note had read, “Papa, I love you I will always love you – RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you everyday I will miss your FaceTime calls everyday! I wish I could be there to say goodbye to you! Until we meet again papa I love you – your Mushk forever.”

In 2020, Rishi Kapoor died during the lockdown, and his daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who stays in Delhi, was not able to reach Mumbai for his final rites.

 A few days later, Riddhima and her family had taken permission from the government and had traveled from Delhi to Mumbai via road. To prevent the outspread of the coronavirus, the government had imposed traveling restrictions in 2020.
