Trinamool Congress smuggles girls, alleges Adhir Chowdhury

In a shocking revelation, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Tuesday accused the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal of smuggling girls in the state. He said that the accused do not get apprehended in these cases as the ruling party is involved.

The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha has also charged that apart,  coal and cow smuggling is also a regular feature in the poll-bound state and blamed the state government and bureaucracy for colluding to do the same.

“Besides coal smuggling, Bengal is also known to be a notorious place for cow smuggling. Our mothers, daughters and sisters are also smuggled into Bengal. The ruling party (of Bengal) and bureaucracy do this together hence no one gets caught,” he said.

The leader further accused the Mamata Banerjee-led government of not aiding those in need after Cyclone Amphan hit the state last year, In 2020, extremely severe cyclone ‘Amphan’ ravaged Kolkata and several parts of West Bengal as it left behind a trail of destruction by uprooting trees, destroying thousands of homes and swamping low-lying areas of the state.

Reacting to the alleged attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Chowdhury had earlier accused her of resorting to ‘siyasi pakhand’ (hypocrisy) and theatrics to gain public sympathy ahead of assembly polls in the state. He dismissed the alleged attack calling it a ‘political stunt’ asking her to tender her resignation over the incident.

“This is ‘siyasi pakhand‘ to gain sympathy. Before polls, she (Mamata Banerjee) planned this ‘nautanki’ after sensing difficulties in Nandigram. Not just CM, she is Police Mantri’ too. Can you believe that there was no Police with Police Mantri?”, he said

All of these serious accusations came ahead when West Bengal will go to the polls in eight phases starting from March 27.

Chowdhury was speaking to ANI in Murshidabad, as per RepublicWorld.
