Trinamool makes absurd claim on BJP having planted eyewitnesses!

Once again alleging the accident of West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee was an attack, the Trinamool Congress workers held protest rallies across West Bengal on Friday, fluttering black flags and wearing black masks.

In Kolkata, rallies led by senior state ministers were taken out in Khidderpore, Behala and Gariahat areas. While minister Firhad Hakim was at the forefront of the Khidderpore protest rally, his senior cabinet colleague Partha Chatterjee led the one in Behala.

The TMC workers and leaders raised black flags and wore black masks as a mark of protest against the alleged conspiracy. “We are here to condemn the attack on our leader and mass leader of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee. It is a pre-planned conspiracy,” Chatterjee said. The protest was held after the party delegation  led by Derek O’Brien and Saugata Roy met with  Election Commission (EC) officials in the national capital. The TMC delegation included party leaders Derek O’Brien, Saugata Roy, Satabdi Roy, Kakoli Dastidar, Pratima Mondal and Santunu Sen.

The delegation alleged that it was Bharatiya Janata Party who specifically planted the eye-witnesses, claiming them to be closely related to BJP leader and Nandigram candidate Suvendu Adhikari. Adding further, the leaders also complained that the DGP and IGP of West Bengal were abruptly removed.

Banerjee was injured during campaigning at Nandigram, a center of the historic anti-farmland acquisition movement, hours after filing her nomnation papers on March 10.
