Viru on firecrackers at Pak win in Capital: Diwali? “hippocrates”

Former India opener Virender Sehwag took a dig over the ban on crackers ahead of Diwali after Pakistan defeated India to record their first win against bitter-rivals India at the ICC T20 World Cup.

Reacting to the burning of the firecrackers in several parts of India over Pakistan’s win, Sehwag called out the ‘hypocrisy’  of those who advocate banning the crackers amid Diwali but burn them on every other occasion. 

Last month, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government imposed a complete ban on the storage, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers with immediate effect in the capital. Kejriwal said the decision was taken after reviewing the pollution levels around Diwali for the past three years.
