Koffee With Karan has been one of the most successful shows of reality television simply because it allowed unfiltered access inside celebrity world and enabled fans to chew on some Bollywood scoop courtesy KJO, an elite insider of the club himself.
While we have managed to get access to some stars like Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Katrina Kaif, who have graced the couch more than once, the last few seasons have been fresh in terms of KJO bringing in talents like Ayushmann, Vicky Kaushal and even Diljit Dosanjh.
Their stories are more relatable, their struggles are more believable and hence these episodes have been few of the most highly ranked ones as well.
In his interview, Ayushmann revealed his first interaction with Karan, which was an interview he did as a radio jockey. He met him at an awards show and asked for his number. “Karan gave me the landline number to his office when I met him. I should have taken a hint there and then. But I was so excited! I even planned exactly when I would make the call: sometime around 11:30 am, so he’d be done with breakfast and available to talk.” He said. “The next day I dialed the number they’d given me. They said Karan wasn’t in office. The day after that I called again. They said he was busy. And finally, my bubble burst when, the subsequent day, they told me bluntly ‘We only work with stars, and can’t work with you’.” He explained.
Well, as luck would have it, Ayushmann spoke about this on KWK which means he’s a star who clearly has arrived and how!
