Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt shared a close bond with his parents, Nargis Dutt and Sunil Dutt. The actor has often shared posts in the loving memory of his two parents. Amid the many revelations of Dutts, it was once revealed that Nargis Dutt doubted Sanjay Dutt to be gay.
In the actor’s biography titled Sanjay Dutt: The Crazy Untold Story of Bollywood’s Bad Boy by Yasser Usman, Sanjay’s sister Priya Dutt had revealed why their mom once doubted Sanjay to be gay.
She has been quoted in the book saying: “Mom sometimes got angry with Sanjay. She’d spew expletives like suwar, ullu, gadha and even throw a chappal at him.”
Further, Priya had said: “Once I heard Mom say to a friend, “Why is Sanjay’s room always locked when his friends are there? What is the big deal? I hope he’s not gay.”
Nargis Dutt was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her husband, late actor Sunil Dutt and had flown to the USA where she was undergoing treatment. While she returned to India after her treatment, her condition deteriorated. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital back home and it was on May 3, 1981, that she lost her life. To date, Sanjay Dutt continues to share posts in her remembrance. On his mom’s death anniversary last year, Dutt had posted a childhood photo to remember his mother.
“Not a day goes by when I don’t miss you Ma,” he wrote alongside his photo with his mom. His sister Priya Dutt, too, had shared a throwback photo in the memory of their mother. “Mother’s hug lasts long after she lets go…Mom it’s has lasted us 40 years #motherlove. Our love for you is forever,” she wrote as she posted a photo of Nargis Dutt and her three children.
