Yogi asks MPs, MLAs to adopt health centres in their own areas

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has opted for a strategic approach to battle the Covid-19 situation in the villages. In the latest move, the CM has asked all the MPs and MLAs to adopt community health centers (CHC) and primary health centers (PHC) in their respective areas.

The decision came after Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with Team 9, the covid management committee. The CM Yogi directed all the MPs and MLAs to undertake repair and renovation tasks of health centers without any delay and asked them to use their development funds to make all medical equipment available in those health centers.

As per government officials, they are advised to work in coordination with elected representatives and district administration.

Adding to it, Yogi also advised them that preparations should also be done while considering the black fungus disease too.

CM Yogi has been emphasizing the tracing, testing, and treatment rule to contain the virus spread. The chief minister also pays regular visits to the Integrated Covid Control and Command Centre (ICCC) to ensure regular supply and availability of medical essentials and inspect the sanitation of the sites.

Last week on Friday the government also announced a special campaign to make villages virus-free of the coronavirus disease.

“The villages that declare themselves as COVID free will also be given benefits of special schemes. This has been launched so that villages and government can work together to make villages covid free,” informed additional chief secretary, information, Navneet Sehgal.
