Yogi govt set to confiscate another property worth crores of gangster Mukhtar Ansari

Jailed mafia don and Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Mukhtar Ansari could have his property worth Rs 3 crores seized by the Yogi Adityanath government in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. 

A team of police officials and administration is presently in Lucknow to complete the attachment process. Of the property, located at Husainganj area of the state Capital. It’s a 194-square metres of land purchased by Mukhtar Ansari in 2007 in the name of his wife Afshan Ansari. The circle rate of the land is Rs 1.45 crore while the one of market is estimated to be Rs 3 crores. 

In 2020, an FIR was lodged against him at Traya police station in Azamgarh under provisions of the Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act. 

This is the third such confiscation of the property of the dreaded mafia politician. A combined loss is estimated to be worth Rs 367 crores to Ansari, family and gang. His gang is registered as IS (Inter-State) Gang 191 in the record of Uttar Pradesh. 

Last month his sharpshooter Alisher was shot dead in an encounter in Lucknow’s Madiaon area. He was accused of killing of BSP leader Kalamuddin in Azamgarh and Jitram Munda of BJP in Ranchi, Jharkhand. 

Ansari presently is lodged in the Banda jail of Uttar Pradesh.
