Yogi’s UP plans to export goods to 31 countries

Uttar Pradesh is fast emerging as an export hub of India. According to recent development, Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Sidharth Nath Singh has said that 100 products have been identified in 15 sectors and will now expand exports from the state to 31 countries.

His comments came after the MSME department felicitated 65 exporters from Uttar Pradesh for their contribution to the total exports from the state.

The event took place on the final day of the two-day state-level commerce festival, organized by MSME and export promotion departments, in association with FICCI, in Lucknow as part of the weeklong Vanijya Mahotsava (Commerce festival).

Singh also informed that the “saarthi app will also be launched for exporters to resolve their problems. A separate app will be prepared for export products.”

“The world economy is going to undergo changes in the coming days and India will leave China behind in terms of economy and become a part of the global supply chain. In this financial year, the state will increase exports from Rs 3 lakh crore to Rs 5 lakh crore,” the minister said.

The Yogi Adityanath government has also planned to set up a centralized facilitation center for better coordination among various hubs. These centers will increase exports by at least ₹400 crores and provide employment opportunities to 4,000 people.

Uttar Pradesh is the sixth major exporting states of the country, after Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, according to Centre’s data.
