You should be ashamed of yourself; never spoken a truth in your life: Yogi to Rahul

Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has taken Rahul Gandhi to cleaners like the Gandhi scion must not have had ever in his life. 

Adityanth, in a tweet, said in Hindi: “प्रभु श्री राम की पहली सीख है-“सत्य बोलना” जो आपने कभी जीवन में किया नहीं। शर्म आनी चाहिए कि पुलिस द्वारा सच्चाई बताने के बाद भी आप समाज में जहर फैलाने में लगे हैं। सत्ता के लालच में मानवता को शर्मसार कर रहे हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश की जनता को अपमानित करना, उन्हें बदनाम करना छोड़ दें। (The essence of Prabhu Ram is to speak truth—which you’ve never done in your life. You should be ashamed of yourself that despite police clearing the air on communal propaganda, you are still busy spreading poison in society. You are shaming the humanity in the lust for power. Stop humiliating the people of Uttar Pradesh; stop defaming them.”

Yogi’s tweet was in response to Rahul Gandhi’s tweet, that too in Hindi, which read: मैं ये मानने को तैयार नहीं हूँ कि श्रीराम के सच्चे भक्त ऐसा कर सकते हैं। ऐसी क्रूरता मानवता से कोसों दूर है और समाज व धर्म दोनों के लिए शर्मनाक है। (I would never believe that the true faithfuls of Shri Ram would ever do so. This cruelty is miles apart from humanity and is shameful for both, the religion and society).

The background to this is a viral video on social media, shared by  discredited Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair, claiming that an elderly Muslim man was beaten up allegedly by a Hindu mob and was assaulted and forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” after being abducted and confined in a secluded house in Ghaziabad. 

This was picked up by Rahul Gandhi, and echoed by other Left-Liberals such as Swara Bhaskar and Arfa Khannum Sherwani, the fakeness of which was busted by Ghaziabad Police a few hours later, pointing out that all the alleged miscreants were indeed Muslims. And if they insisted the elder Muslim man speaks “Jai Shri Ram”, it must have been part of a deeper conspiracy. For the import of this manipulation is obvious. And the fact that UP assembly polls is only months away, the mischief is apparent. 

This was duly condemned by Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi but Yogi Adityanath has taken the bull by the horn, so to speak. He has taken on Rahul Gandhi after the latter has kept to the fake communal propaganda even after Ghaziabad Police has gone on record about the culprits and their identity. 

This is not all. Just a day before, Rahul Gandhi has been painting the two red about the alleged “land scam” in the buying of a piece of land for Ram Temple by Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. That has been proved to be a fake propaganda, duly punctured by both buyer (Ram Janmabhoomi Trust) and seller (Sultan Ansari). 

A question is also being asked on the social media as to why Twitter has still not termed the tweets by Mohammad Zubair, Swara Bhaskar and Arfa Khannum, including Rahul Gandhi as “manipulated media” yet.
