Rhea arrested by NCB; allegedly took hard drugs herself

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after 19 hours of grilling in connection with a drug case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Tuesday.

She was the prime suspect in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and has been taken for a medical test as a part of formalities.

She has been denying the accusations of using drugs in all the interviews. However, according to sources, Rhea, in her interrogation admitted that she was consuming not just marijuana, but also hard drugs.

She also broke down when she was confronted with her brother Showik Chakraborty, who was arrested by NCB last week.

The NCB officer stated that they started their investigation against the data retrieved from Rhea’s phone. The NCB Deputy Director (operations) KPS Malhotra informed the media that they have completed all the process and has informed Rhea’s family about her arrest.

The NCB department has claimed that they have evidence linking Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda to the purchase of drugs. In their further claims, they have also informed that Dipesh Sawant, Sushant’s household staff has collected and delivered a total of 165 grams of marijuana between March and June on the orders Rhea and her brother, Showik.

Where Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, welcomed the news of Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest, Rhea’s lawyer, Mr. Satish Manshinde, has come up with another victim card.

“Three central agencies hounding a single woman, just because she was in love with a drug addict suffering from mental health issues for several years under the care of five leading psychiatrists in Mumbai, who ended up committing suicide due to consumption of Illegally administered medicines and used drugs,” Maneshinde said.
