BJP slams Rahul Gandhi: ‘Your insincerity in gut-wrenching’

The Bhartiya Janata Party slammed the Congress Party leader Rahul Gandhi for playing politics over the Hathras gang rape incident to “resurrect their political career.”

BJP’s IT cell head, Amit Malviya criticized this ‘stunt’ of Congress and wrote,

“Congress and Rahul Gandhi have reduced the unfortunate death of a young woman into theatrics, an occasion to resurrect their political careers. The insincerity is gut-wrenching. Crime against women and Dalits, in particular, is rampant in Rajasthan but politics takes them to UP.”

Malviya’s comment came right after Gandhi was detained by Uttar Pradesh police under IPC section 188. Rahul Gandhi was going to meet the family of the Hathras gang-rape victim.

Remarking that it was nothing less than dramatic performance, Amit Malviya released a series of tweets targeting Rahul Gandhi. In one of his tweets, he questioned the selective outrage of the Congress party and asked why the party remained silent on Balrampur and Bulandshahr incident.

“When your sympathy for the victim depends on the social and religious identity of the violator or the state in which the crime happens, then YOU are part of the problem. Those obsessing about the identity of the accused in Hathras are silent on Balrampur and Bulandshahr,” Malviya said in his tweet.

Earlier today, Additional Director General of Law and Order, Prashant Kumar informed that the forensic evidence reports that the woman was “not raped” and the death was primarily due to the severe injuries.
