Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has again sparked a controversy stating that women in the 40-50 age group are more influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi than those who wear jeans and have mobile phones.
“Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said something interesting; women who are 40 to 50 years old are slightly more influenced by PM Modi, but girls who wear jeans and keep mobiles are not affected,” Singh had said.
However, in a sharp reaction, women of all ages launched a campaign over Twitter – ‘#ImpressedbyModi’ and shared their pictures wearing jeans to express their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Bharatiya Janta Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma also shared her picture in jeans with the hashtag ‘#ImpressedbyModi’
Bharatiya Janta Party leader and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi also slammed Digvijaya Singh and said, “He made a very irresponsible statement. Now that he doesn’t have any major role in Congress party’s decision making, he’s saying all this to be in the limelight. It’s utter rubbish.”
